loud and proud: celebs who swear by cosmetic surgery

Apr 25, 2012 | By: L.D. Madziag

Not often is the case when celebrities will actually admit to having any cosmetic surgery done. Most of them will deny any claims even if the ‘before and after photos’ spread across all magazines and the blogiverse scream otherwise.

However, their denials don’t necessarily mean they disapprove of plastic surgery procedures. In fact, even Madonna has stated in the recent past that although she hasn’t had cosmetic surgery (yea right, Madonna), she wouldn’t be holding a press conference to announce the procedure should she decide to undergo one in the future. Some stars out there, though, neither regret nor deny having plastic surgery treatments and are quite open about it.

For instance, singer Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child fame had a breast augmentation procedure just before the release of her second solo disc, Ms. Kelly. At the time, Ms. Rowland spoke publicly about the procedure to People Magazine, stating that increasing her breast size was something she had considered doing for over ten years before committing to it.

“I simply went from an A-cup to a B-cup…. It is a decision I made for myself. I like it, and that’s all that counts. For young people: Think about it before you jump off and do something [you may regret later]” Although she’s never regretted her breast implants, Kelly Rowland has denied claims that she also had a rhinoplasty surgery.

One actress who talks openly about rhinoplasty, on the other hand, is the former Mrs. Pitt herself, Jennifer Aniston. According to the actress, she underwent the nose job procedure early in her career in order to correct a deviated septum.

Aniston told People Magazine that she had her nose fixed and it was the “best thing [she] ever did.” She added that she “slept like a baby for the first time in years.”

Jennifer Aniston’s initial rhinoplasty didn’t turn out too well, though. She needed to go back for re-constructive surgery to correct the botched first procedure. In addition, the actress has been rumored to having had other cosmetic surgery such as lip augmentation and Botox—claims that she denies but isn’t closed minded about.

“I will never, ever say ‘never’ about anything. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with making yourself feel better about how you look.”

Regarding Botox, she told Harper’s Bazaar that she’s tried it and didn’t like it, but that her wrinkles “are getting deeper every day.”
